What a credit means

Credits are a generation allowance, not a fixed number of completed product pages. The AI model, image inputs, web search, and the content you generate affect usage.
For product-content generation, the app calculates a model-dependent base cost. Image input increases that base, and enabled web search adds credits. Check the estimate shown for your run.
Try a small batch first. Use it to check both the writing and the credit cost before generating across a larger collection.
What is Profitonium’s AI Product Description Generator?
Profitonium’s AI Product Description Generator, also called ADG, is a Shopify app for writing product descriptions, titles, and SEO content in bulk. It uses product information and reusable brand instructions, with review and saving controls inside Shopify admin. You can find it on the Shopify App Store as ChatGPT AI Product Description.

What does the free plan include?
The free plan includes 100 credits each month. Credit usage depends on your generation settings, so credits do not always equal a fixed number of finished products. Paid plans and their allowances are listed on our pricing page.
Can I generate content for a whole collection?
Yes. Bulk generation lets you work with selected products or collections. Start with a small batch to check your instructions and output before applying them more widely.
Will it overwrite my existing descriptions?
Saving generated content can replace the corresponding product field. Review your output and save settings before applying it. Automatic generation has separate controls for the fields to generate and the fields to save to your store.
How does automatic generation work?
When enabled, automatic generation runs when new products are added. Selected fields can also save automatically. Check those settings before enabling it; generation consumes credits.
Can I recover earlier content?
Automatic-generation history includes a revert-to-original action for supported records. It is not a full store backup. Keep a product export before a large catalog update, and contact support if you need help with a particular record.
Which models and languages can I use?
The app offers GPT, Claude, and Gemini options, with availability depending on the plan and generation tool. Generate content in 30+ languages using language controls and custom instructions. Review translations for your market before a large run.
How is this different from writing one product at a time?
ADG brings product selection, reusable instructions, bulk generation, and saving into a catalog workflow inside Shopify. It is useful when the same content work needs to happen across many products.
